Two New Planets X and Y – End Time Significance?

As the author of a book called Planet X in Bible Prophecy, it’s no surprise that several readers have written me about the recent announcement of two new planets dubbed Planet X and Planet Y.

What’s my opinion of this? Could these fulfill bible prophecy such as Wormwood? Here’s a quick explanation to answer these questions.

New Planets? Not So Fast

First, do not misunderstand the announcement. No new planets have been spotted in our solar system. So far, only dwarf planets have been discovered (like Ceres, Eris, Makemake and Haumea). (Because of all these discoveries, Pluto went from being a planet to a dwarf planet in 2006.)

The announcement is only presenting new evidence that suggests a couple more planets exist. The evidence comes from studying the orbits of other objects around other stars beyond Neptune, called extreme trans-Neptunian objects” (ETNOs). There are irregularities in these orbits that could be explained by at least two more massive planets beyond Neptune.

If these planets exist, they would be so far out–more than 200 times earth’s distance from the Sun (200 AU)–that they would be difficult or impossible to spot with existing instruments. That’s why you may be waiting a long time before they are confirmed or ruled out.

“Tim, Is This Proof of The Planet X / Nibiru?”

This naturally leads to the question of whether this is finally some official evidence for the infamous legendary Planet X.

That’s a question that comes my way constantly. There are plenty of YouTube videos, photos, or expert testimonies on the Web purporting to prove Planet X’s existence. Some readers who come across these send them and ask my opinion on a regular basis.

What I tell them is that, despite the title of my book, I’m not looking for Planet X, and I don’t recommend anyone else does either. Planet X does not matter. Bear in mind that Planet X is a grab-bag of legends and theories about a tenth planet on some arbitrary-sounding “3600 year orbit” supposedly responsible for past cataclysms. It supposedly was due to come in 2003 and then again in 2012. It’s a mess and has been rightly debunked by astronomers.

However, there is an important truth hidden in the theory: that there can be other undiscovered planet-sized objects out there still. That’s why my exposure to the Planet X theory in 2002 played an instrumental role in helping me to finally begin to see “star” Wormwood (Rev 8:10) as a rogue planet, and not just a comet or asteroid. This was important as objects of that size don’t work to explain the events of the cosmic disaster sequence from the 6th seal to the 4th trumpet (Rev 6:12-8:13). At the same time, I was unable to imagine there could be undiscovered small planets lurking out there before I heard Planet X theory.

Since then several dwarf planets have been discovered by astronomers, leading to the demotion of Pluto from planet to dwarf planet. I think a dwarf planet can explain everything Revelation describes happening including the great global earthquake, global meteor shower and perturbation of Earth’s orbit to a 360 day year.

“Ok, Is This Wormwood?”

Definitely not for at least two reasons.

  1. The reports suggest new planets that are massive, several times larger than earth. Wormwood will be something smaller than earth, no bigger than Mars, since it breaks up from earth’s gravity instead of the other way around.
  2. The report places these objects with orbits out past Neptune (TNO). Since Wormwood is described as passing close to earth, it cannot be an TNO but must be something orbiting the inner solar system.

More importantly, I would not count on Wormwood to be sighted and reported very long before it strikes. When I read Revelation 6 about the beginning effects of Wormwood at the 6th seal, the panicked stampede of people to the mountains tells me they were not warned or not in time enough to prepare something better than mountain caves.

In other words, I don’t look for evidence for Wormwood any more than I do for evidence of Planet X. I’m counting on the coming Elijah prophet (or another prophet sent by God) to warn us all when it is coming and that it is time to flee to the safety God has prepared.

In other words, we don’t have to be paranoid or focus on watching YouTube channels, conspiracy news or even regular news to escape Wormwood and other end time events. We can stay focused on what Jesus said to do (love God and love neighbor) trusting that God’s plan works for those found “so-doing” just as well as for those who constantly research online for signs. How could a loving God’s plan work any other way? =)

If you have more questions on Wormwood see the category on my main site.

Efrain Rodriguez – Asteroid Prophecy 2014?

You are probably arriving here because you heard of Efrain Rodriguez’s prophecy of an asteroid striking Puerto Rico and causing a tsunami to strike America by the end of 2014. Is he right that this can happen before the rapture and tribulation and can it happen before 2014 ends?

Would God Allow His Bride to Go Through the Great Tribulation (And Why)?

“God would not allow his bride to go through the Great Tribulation!”

I couldn’t tell you how many times I have been told the above, or asked it (rhetorically). Most of the time it comes from a staunch pretribber who is not really wanting to find a solution to the dilemma he thinks this question portrays. He is assuming a pretrib rapture is needed for the sake of the “dainty” Bride of Christ.

The question itself comes from a common misunderstanding of what the Great Tribulation is and what it is not. There is another misunderstanding on what we as believers should expect in our life of service to God. Let us address both of these misunderstandings to answer the question at hand properly and in concordance with the Bible.

“Not Appointed to Wrath?” The Great Tribulation is not God’s Wrath

The above question is typically backed up with the verse that “we’re not appointed to wrath” as proof that the bride will not go through the Great Tribulation.

1 Thessalonians 5:9 (HCSB) — ” For God did not appoint us to wrath, but to obtain salvation through our Lord Jesus Christ

What those who quote this verse assume is that the Great Tribulation is God’s wrath. It is not. It is Satan’s wrath. The Bible tells us that Satan’s wrath begins when he is finally barred from entry to heaven.

Revelation 12:12 (ESV) — ” Therefore, rejoice, O heavens and you who dwell in them! But woe to you, O earth and sea, for the devil has come down to you in great wrath, because he knows that his time is short!

Today, as in the days of Job, Satan can still go and accuse the brethren. When he is barred from entering, it will be his signal to begin his short time (3½ years) of wrath. This lasts from the 5th trumpet until the 7th trumpet. (For brevity’s sake I will not expound that out here. But my book proves that the 6th seal through 4th trumpet are all a series of related events caused by doomsday star Wormwood, and that the 5th trumpet is the start of the Great Tribulation).

Thus, Satan’s reign, and his wrath with it, end with the 7th trumpet. Then God’s wrath picks up where Satan’s wrath left off:

Revelation 11:15, 18 (NIV) — ” 15 The seventh angel sounded his trumpet…18 The nations were angry; and your wrath has come. The time has come for judging the dead, and for rewarding your servants the prophets and your saints and those who reverence your name, both small and great– and for destroying those who destroy the earth.”

God’s wrath comes exclusively through the seven bowls. It begins after the 7th trumpet and is “filled up” or “made complete” by the 7th bowl:

Revelation 15:1,7 (NIV) — ” 1 I saw in heaven another great and marvelous sign: seven angels with the seven last plagues–last, because with them God’s wrath is completed. 7 Then one of the four living creatures gave to the seven angels seven golden bowls filled with the wrath of God, who lives for ever and ever.

Thus, if we are not appointed to the wrath of God, then that only means we must be out of here by the 7th trumpet before that starts. And that is exactly when the rapture comes, at the “last trump” (KJV):

1 Corinthians 15:52 (HCSB) — “in a moment, in the blink of an eye, at the last trumpet. For the trumpet will sound, and the dead will be raised incorruptible, and we will be changed.

“Appointed To Afflictions or Tribulation”

While we are not appointed to wrath and will be rewarded with being born again (John 3:3-8) into a glorified spirit body by then, we do have “endure until the end” (Mt 24:13) through much trouble.

As a lifelong reader and student of the Bible, it really is odd for me to hear Christians claim that “God would never put his precious bride through the terrible tribulation.” Whenever I hear this, I wonder if they are not among the 95% of Christians who have not read their Bible. Because when I read the stories of the saints throughout the OT and NT, I consistently see lives full of trouble, affliction and persecution. Even the ultra-righteous Job has his share.

Or when I look out at the world today I see many lands where there is not freedom of religion. In them, Christians today are living in great tribulation. There is a common saying based on this that only rich Western Christians could possibly imagine a pretrib rapture saving us from the Great Tribulation. God has not saved any of those being murdered today for the truth and the pretrib rapture theory to them clashes with reality. They are dying already for their faith in the present tribulations.

If you look around at conditions on the ground now and previously in Bible times you see God does not seem to be a doting father who “shelters” his children. He lets us face troubles head on and does not save us typically until the last moment after we have cried out passionately for help (much like the Red Sea crossing).

A few verses will suffice in demonstrating this truth plainly:

Acts 14:22 (KJV) — ” Confirming the souls of the disciples, and exhorting them to continue in the faith, and that we must through much tribulation enter into the kingdom of God.

1 Thessalonians 3:3-4 (KJV) 3 That no man should be moved by these afflictions: for yourselves know that we are appointed thereunto. 4 For verily, when we were with you, we told you before that we should suffer tribulation; even as it came to pass, and ye know.

Why Must We Suffer, Anyway?

Now you may wonder why does God work this way with us? This is actually the same as the classic question of “why does God allow suffering?” For the Great Tribulation is just a global and more intense class of suffering at the hands of a Satanic government than we already have had throughout history unto this day.

Most Western Christians do not read their Bible (less than 5% according to Back to the Bible). Their expectations for what their life with God will be like are thus based mainly on their experience of playing church in a rich society with freedom of speech and freedom of religion. The concept of real suffering for your faith (which is not simply being put down or having your beliefs ridiculed now and then by skeptics and atheists) is unknown to them in general. Because of this paradigm, when they finally read the Bible, they have a hard time understanding or accepting what they read about suffering experienced by saints or the promises of the same for us, too.

God has a good reason. The Bible is not silent on the reason. This prophetic verse is one that covers it:

Daniel 11:33,35 (HCSB) — ” 33 Those who are wise among the people will give understanding to many, yet they will die by sword and flame, and be captured and plundered for a time. 35 Some of the wise will fall so that they may be refined, purified, and cleansed until the time of the end, for it will still come at the appointed time.

This “fall” spoken of clearly refers to suffering persecution and martyrdom. It is to refine us and make us better. This is how God builds his character, makes his Bride ready (Rev 19:7). It even was necessary for Jesus, the firstborn Son of God:

Hebrews 5:8 (HCSB) — Though He was God’s Son, He learned obedience through what He suffered.

If you are rich, distracted and therefore spiritually poor and blind, trials are the specific prescription that Jesus gives for us as well.

Revelation 3:17-18 (HCSB) — ” 17 Because you say, ‘I’m rich; I have become wealthy and need nothing,’ and you don’t know that you are wretched, pitiful, poor, blind, and naked, 18 I advise you to buy from Me gold refined in the fire so that you may be rich, white clothes so that you may be dressed and your shameful nakedness not be exposed, and ointment to spread on your eyes so that you may see.

It’s no mystery what “going through the fire” refers to. It means suffering. The Book of James is well known as a source of meaning and comfort on this topic:

James 1:2-4, 12 (HCSB) — ” 2 Consider it a great joy, my brothers, whenever you experience various trials, 3 knowing that the testing of your faith produces endurance. 4 But endurance must do its complete work, so that you may be mature and complete, lacking nothing. 12 A man who endures trials is blessed, because when he passes the test he will receive the crown of life that God has promised to those who love Him.

God’s Terrestrial Escape Plan For the Great Tribulation

The “Bride of Christ” can bring to mind an image of a dainty maiden, one who cannot withstand hardship. However, that is not the point of the metaphor. The point is that we must be “virginally pure” (Rev 14:4) or ready (Rev 19:7). Being pure of what makes us ready? We’re pure or righteous in God’s sight as long as we trust in his word intending to follow it (Lk 8:21; Gen 15:6).  Our own ideas, man’s religion, man’s ideas, our own thoughts that conflict with or distract us from serving God are the problem. Only those who have shown a steadfastness in following God throughout all kinds of tests and temptations are suitable for the Kingdom of God. Thus, ironically, the method by which we become the Bride every day is exactly what pretrib rapture proponents believe God must not put us through (globally) if we are the bride!

The Bible says and demonstrates repeatedly that we must go through much trouble to make us ready. This builds our character, purges our sin nature and increase our faith and wisdom (James 1:1-12). This is the same process that Christ himself went through. The Great Tribulation is just more of the same, except on a global and intensified scale. Therefore it is improper to deny we will go through the Great Tribulation because God would not subject his bride to such a terrible time. He does every day!

Besides all that, the End Time escape plan of God revealed in the Bible is to protect his bride on the earth through the Great Tribulation in the same way that God protected the Israelites where they were on the earth while the Ten Plagues of his wrath rained down around them. He will guide us to a protected place that Satan cannot reach and feed us during the three and a half year Great Tribulation:

Revelation 12:14 (HCSB) — ” The woman was given two wings of a great eagle, so that she could fly from the serpent’s presence to her place in the wilderness, where she was fed for a time, times, and half a time.

It will be a time of great wonders and community that has not been seen since the First Century, as described in Acts 2. For this reason, I am looking forward to the Great Tribulation without any fear at all. And so should you once you know the truth from the Bible on the matter.

So, “comfort each other with these words” just as Paul said to the Thessalonians (1Th 4:18). By the way, those are the same Thessalonians who Paul instructed on our rapture after the Antichrist and the Great Tribulation appear (2The 2:1-4).

Conclusion

Pretrib Christians who say God won’t let us go through the Great Tribulation are not completely wrong. They believe God must protect us from the Great Tribulation which I completely agree with. The mistake is in thinking that a pretrib rapture to heaven is the only way this protection can or will happen. God must protect us, but there are other ways he can do it

So in the end it’s not wrong that God won’t make his righteous saints go through the Tribulation. I don’t count being taken to a special area where you are protected and fed by God for 3½ years as going through tribulation (Rev 12:14). If we are protected in heaven or protected on earth, how is either situation able to be called “going through the Tribulation”? =)

2012 Movie & Bible Prophecy: “Striking” Similarities Article

I went out to see the 2012 movie last week and was so impressed (as a prophecy fan) that I had to write about it. I’ve crafted a new article on website to highlight some similarities between what the movie shows and Bible prophecy. Of course, the 2012 date is complete fiction but this does not stop the movie from having some real value to truth seekers. Check out the new article here on The 2012 Movie and Bible prophecy.

The new prophecy article with this newsletter is:
Blood Moons of Jesus Return in 2015? Biltz Theory Debunked.

Recap of First Half of 2008 – Second Half Plans

“Life is what happens while we’re busy making other plans” a wise man said. That would be an accurate description of the first half of this year for me. I had hoped to use my recent retirement from Bible software programming to focus on writing more newsletters, books and even a DVD. But the sneaky suspicion in the back of my head that I’d be doing other things turned out to be more correct.

I have ended up spending a lot more time with my family including my children’s education. I’ve even gone to some school meetings and functions that I never would have had time for before, and found myself enjoying the interactions (OK, full disclosure: one of them was a day at the amusement park.) Probably more than anything, the lack of productivity is from having to learn to adjust to a completely fluid schedule. Previously I had regular work that I fit everything else around. Now I have the family needs and fit in time for writing around that. I have not been striking a true balance as you can tell from the lack of newsletters. I’m realizing this and getting better at it but at the same time have learned a lot from the new experiences. I am also learning how to work smarter in handling my many emails and inquiries and create some set time for writing. We’ll see how it goes. Anyway, I’m thankful for the opportunity to learn and grow in new areas this way.

Next Book Planned – Price: Free!

One exciting development in recent months is my decision to postpone developing a DVD version of my book Know the Future and focus on writing my next book which I plan to put on my website for free. The reason is that I see a chance to fill a great need that nobody else has, a need I have become more acutely aware of from observing the reaction of those who read my book groundbreaking prophecy book Know the Future.

In the process of showing people finally how to understand prophecy literally, it’s necessary in my book to set straight any non-prophecy subjects that they depend on. For example, the 5th seal martyrs resting under the altar cannot be understood until we learn what exactly happens to our spirits when we die according to the Bible. This of course creates a domino effect with other doctrines not addressed in my book that Christians are mistaught. Readers are prompted at last to properly question what they were taught at church and to check everything against the Bible like a good Berean (Act 17:11). Also they are so excited about finally understanding Bible prophecy, that they are inspired to get started reading the entire Bible for themselves (which sadly only a minority of Christians ever do, leaving them ill-equipped to question what they are taught). This too naturally brings all kinds of questions up and I get to see them in my email inbox or on the reader’s private forums.

What I want to do is gather and review these questions and organize the key areas of Bible topics into a new book. My goal is to write the book that I wish I could have read when I decided to join a church believing it would please God and teach me the Bible. Having that book would have saved me a decade of church attendance and thousands of dollars of “tithes” only to find out in the end that churches mainly indoctrinate you in religious traditions with a little Bible basis mixed in (and have no authority to receive tithes). (I know that’s a provocative statement for those still attending church who have not figured this out yet, but I have a feeling that if you reflect on it, you will notice that for years you’ve been noticing disturbing problems with church or discrepancies between what they teach and what you read in the Bible. Most simply put these problems out of their minds because they have no answer for them nor see any alternative to church. Others leave for home church as this book details.)

Don’t get me wrong, I had a great experience at my church and still believe church has its place. But if your goal is to learn fully what God really wants of his servants and how to fulfill that, take it from me, there’s no substitute for reading the Bible directly yourself and learning to think critically on what you read. Since that’s such a difficult and intimidating endeavor (which is why most of us look to a paid professional pastor to figure it out for us), it would be invaluable to have a comprehensive book written by a someone who has already gone through church and years of Bible truth seeking. If that person is also able to tell it like it is because he has no denomination or church board to worry about firing him, then you could literally save decades of dead ends.

Yes, this is a big goal and it’s going to take me many months, but it excites me to think of helping the millions of Bible truth seekers still in churches only because they have not figured out yet that it’s not going to teach them what they expect. Since having an explosive book like this available for free is the best way for it to spread virally, my plan is to put it in its entirety on my site (plus make softcover editions people always request available for a low price). The extra traffic and new readership it brings should improve sales of my current book enough to cover my time investment so I can justify giving it away. If you have any comments or suggestions on this project or ideas for future newsletters, just reply to this email and send them my way.

What is the Name of God?

G.B. asked:

More important than the number of the beast is the NAME of GOD!! Both old and new Testaments state that whosoever calls on the name of the LORD shall be saved. The saviour said he came in his father’s name. So he has the same name as the father. What do you think the correct name out of the many expounded is? And how do we ensure that it is correct???? Any help on this issue would be appreciated. Thank you very much.

Acts 2, Joel 2 does not mean God’s Name is Magic

This topic is covered in great detail in my first book Planet X in Bible Prophecy, including the verses you cite of Joel 2 and Acts 2 about calling upon the name of the lord to be saved which are amazing prophecies of the future final fulfillment of the Biblical Feast of Pentecost before the Great Tribulation at the coming of Wormwood at the 6th seal. But it really has nothing to do with knowing his name and pronouncing it as the cause of being saved, but to tell us an attribute of the people who will be saved, that they love God enough to find out and use his name (Psalm 91:14) and are under a prophet who has taught them exactly what it is and how to say it, just as Jesus did to his disciples (John 17:6,26). This is contrary to how religions then and today operate in replacing the name with Lord or Adonai or even forbidding learning and saying the name as Judaism traditionally has done. It is not about magic syllables you must know to save you, but part of the restoration of all things promised by Jesus to come with the End Times Elijah before his second coming (Mark 9:12).

God’s Name According to the Oldest Complete Manuscripts

As for what the name actually is, what I state therein is that if we trust the Bible to be accurately preserved enough for doctrine then why do we not look to it to know God’s name which is written almost 7000 times as YeH-?-VaH (missing the middle vowel)? The reason is people have been taught that the vowels for YHWH were replaced by the scribes with the vowels for “adonai”, or “lord”, but you can prove this is not the case at all by comparing the two words in Hebrew (an exercise my book takes you through). In fact, although in most cases in most manuscripts one vowel indeed has been removed to prevent the name from being accidently pronounced (against Jewish law) when read, in some of the oldest complete manuscripts the scribes apparently forgot to erase the vowel (in about 50 places). The vowel that appears there, “o” (cholam), is consistent with the vowels used in all the names of the prophets, kings who have the first three letters of God’s name at the beginning (theophoric names) such as Jehoshaphat, Jehoshua, Jehoiada, Jehoram, etc.

Of course you must remember that these are not good transliterations into english since there is no J in Hebrew and the letter there Yod actually makes the sound of “Y.” This gives us “YehoVAH” (accent on the last syllable), of course very similar to the classic transliteration of “JeHOvah.” I believe saying “YehoVAH” is as accurate for God’s name as saying “Da-VID” (accent on last) is for King David’s. But I cannot say for sure how to exactly pronounce either of them without a prophet arriving to reveal it to me.

Jesus’ Real Name and Its Meaning

By the way, Jesus does not have the same name as the father. He came in or under his father’s authority, which is the other understanding of what coming in someone’s name means. His original full name is Yehoshua the same name given to Joshua under Moses, which means “Y’hovah is salvation.” Yehoshua became shortened to Y’shua due to the Jewish ban on saying the name of God which Yehoshua contains 3/4 of.

Is the Rapture before Wormwood?

Mary asked:

Revelation chapter 7 talks about the four angels holding back the winds of the earth and sealing the 144,00 children of all the tribes of Israel. Right after that it speaks about the great multitude in heaven which appears to be the rapture. So during the 7th Seal and third trumpet, the star Wormwood is hurled into earth. Are you saying that christians will still be here on earth when Wormwood hurles into earth, and that the rapture will not have taken place?

Yes, I’m saying that the rapture comes after Wormwood, otherwise the firstfruit saints would not need sealing protection as the first half of Revelation 7 depicts nor would the Woman of Revelation 12 be brought to a place of safety for 3½ years at the start of the Tribulation. Wormwood is here from the 6th seal through 4th trumpet but the rapture comes at the last or 7th trumpet at the same time as the dead in Christ are raised according to Paul (1The 4:16, 1Cor 15:52). Revelation 20:4-5 says explicitly that the first resurrection of the dead includes people who overcame the mark of the beast and his image which of course means the resurrection and rapture cannot occur at the start or tribulation. Finally, Jesus in the Olivet Discourse agreed that after the Tribulation his angels would come with a trumpet to gather all his elect (Mt 24:29-31). “The elect” is used elsewhere in the NT to refer to the church (1Pet 1:1; 2Jn 1:1; Tit 1:1).

Myself I doubt that Revelation 7 is depicting saints in heaven after the rapture. We already have an explicit depiction of that in Revelation 15 (the sea of fire and glass). Instead I think Revelation 7 is showing all God’s children from all nations and races (rather than primarily Israel as the first phase of his plan works with) living with him constantly after the new heaven and new Earth as Revelation 21 and Isaiah 65 predict. This would explain why they are always with the Lamb in the Temple rather than ruling on Earth with him (and remember none of us are ever going to be omnipresent like God). However, even if Revelation 7 were depicting saints immediately after the first rapture, it gives no timing information as to when the rapture itself is.

How Can Planet X Be Revelation’s star Wormwood?

Lou wrote:

Dear Tim,

I finished reading your book, and was very impressed. Thank you for writing it. I have a question:

You state “a rogue planet called Wormwood will approach dangerously close to Earth. Although it itself will not hit us, Earth will pass through its rocky tail or debris field.”

Yet the Holy Scriptures, in Rev 8.10-11, tell us differently: “.. there fell from heaven a great star, burning as a torch, and it fell upon the third part of the rivers, and upon the fountains of the waters; and the name of the star is called Wormwood ..”

How do you account for this?

This is a common question so I’ve added it to the FAQ and am pasting here as well:

The first answer is that “Planet X” is a misnomer. It is the term coined by NASA for any as yet undiscovered planet orbiting the sun after Pluto, the 9th planet (X of course being the Roman Numeral for 10 or tenth). However, the little information leaked from NASA and other scientists that we have says that Planet X is actually not a classic non-luminous planet (except only by reflected light) but a red or brown dwarf (a small star). This fits with what Revelation says about Wormwood as a star that “burns like a lamp” in the sky.

The second answer is that the 3rd trumpet does not say Wormwood directly hits the earth but only that it “falls upon 1/3 of the waters.” If you want to see Revelation describe a direct impact on the earth from an extraterrestrial object, see the 2nd trumpet, or even the 1st trumpet for multiple where each time the complete collateral damage is itemized. The language there is much different. Its impossible for an impact to affect only 1/3 of the waters and not also damage land, people, crops, etc. as you see described for the major direct impacts of the 1st and 2nd trumpets. Also, if an object large enough to shine on its own hit the earth, all life would be over right then (or even if our own moon hit us). A direct hit is clearly then not what is being described given all of this. Instead, it must be referring to the tail (that we must be passing through) raining down and poisoning the waters. If we are not passing through a tail of Wormwood, then there is no way to explain the progression of tiny to large objects impacting the earth from the 6th seal through the 3rd trumpet while Wormwood is described as seen shining in the sky after it all (instead of lodged in the side of the earth!).

America Falls Before or After Wormwood?

Lou asked

Does the turmoil and destruction caused by a planet x [wormwood] come before or after the ‘demise’ of America (babylon) thru war? It would appear that the destruction of 1/3 of the world by this planet would utterly disable most of the wolds technologies (fuel, food, and electrical energy production/distribution, etc) .. making it nearly impossible for nations to wage war against one another. Not to mention that much of the worlds harbors and ships would lay in destruction also.

We can know for sure from Revelation 14’s three angel’s messages that the fall of America the Babylon occurs right before the rise of the Beast at the 5th trumpet that places the mark on everyone. This is because the 2nd angel message announcing the fall of Babylon comes before the 3rd angel message warning not to take the mark (which is introduced at the start of the Great Tribulation).

Further, America’s fall must be after the 4th trumpet which is the final effect of Planet X/Wormwood because the first angel’s message warning people to repent happens right before Planet X/Wormwood passes at the 6th seal. Because Planet X happens so fast in the 6th seal through 4th trumpet, it’s doubtful that an enemy attack would happen before the 4th trumpet hits. So I place the fall of America between the 4th trumpet and 5th trumpet for this reason. It makes a lot of sense as you say with infrastructure out that America’s military relies on more than any other country for its advantage that this would be when Russia and her communist allies would strike.

If you doubt any nation will have the ability to wage war after Wormwood, then just note that the 6th trumpet speaks of a war between the Beast (essentially the revived Roman Empire with England/the lion at the helm – Dan 7:4 ) and enemies from the north and east (Dan 11:44 – China and Russia) will start a war with him. Also there is the final war of Armageddon after this making a total of at least three clear wars prophesied after Planet X. (A fourth would be the pretrib, pre-wormwood Arab-Israel war coming first).
